Locally owned specialty toy shop with a thoughtfully curated selection of toys & boutique clothing. Though known by several names, HAKABOHU has been owned by the Elvington family for two generations. When mom Susan first bought it, the store was already known as The Toy Shop. When son Brice took over, he kept the name until 2022, but then decided it was time for a change. Brice wanted the name to reflect how much this store was a part of his family. He decided to try to find a way to incorporate all of his kids into the name, but with four kids this was quite a feat! He finally settled on using the first two letters of each of their names. Hampton, Katie Brice, Bowen, and Huntley. And that is how the name HAKABOHU was born!
